[ mass comm is the only Atlanta based music label dedicated to the promotion of creative Hip-Hop. ]
[ what it is ]:
Jumping on the scene in 1998, TopCat and crew took the Underground music scene by storm. Combining a blazing ad campaign (elemental magazine), fierce lyrics, and uncompromising tracks, mass comm did the unthinkable. They became popular. If you didn't like the music, you liked the ads. If you didn't like the ads, you liked the stage show. If you didn't like any of that, you were mildly retarded.
While the street buzz was growing, TopCat started compiling a list of production credits that read like an ATL underground hall of fame. Anthony David, Dres the Beatnik, Jax and Qualm Scott are just a sample of artists that enlisted mass comm's services. Even legendary Chuck D signed mass comm to his newly formed Slamjamz label.
After taking some time off, mass comm returns with the same philosophy, but a new line up. TopCat has moved from being the artist to negotiating the deals. With several acts scheduled for release in 2008, the game as you know it will change. You will come to expect more from your favorite indie artist. You will learn that underground should not mean under-promoted. Join us as we explore all forms of media.
